Our School Reunion

On the 20th of March 2009 5th and 6th class had a school reunion. This is part of the R.S.E program. We went outside and Mrs Treacy introduced us one at a time. We stood up and talked about life since we left Newcastle National School. We came back when we were 25 but a lot of us were married and had kids. At 25 Christopher had retired as Aoife had put him out of business. We all dressed up for it. Some of us were teachers, some nurses, some were in the Army and some had a job to do with animals one of which was unsuccessful. We all had a great time telling our own life and listening to others most of which were funny.

Art and Craft - Making Paper Aeroplanes

This week in art we decided to clash art with history.This week we were learning about Amelia Earhart (Lady Lindy) and her incredible flights .The plane we were making was a red locheed vega whitch Amelia had took to derry on her trans-atlantic flight .We were espeically lucky this week to have a helper named Anna (pictured left ) she had made a example aeroplane and showed us how to make it. The planes turned out brilliant.
