Confirmation 2008

On the 8th of March, 2008, 5th and 6th class celebrated our Confirmation. We had been practicing in the church for a few weeks before the big day finally arrived. Everyone had gone shopping to find new outfits so they could look their best on the day. I got a maroon dress with black shoes. I straightened my hair the morning of the Confirmation.

The mass was on at half ten in the morning. At the mass we all had jobs to do like: Prayers of the Faithful, singing the Psalm, Readings, bringing up the Gifts and bringing up objects to do with our life in Newcastle school. I had to sing a psalm with Michael and I said one of the Prayers of the Faithful.

Our local priests Fr. King and Fr. Charlie helped the Archbishop with the ceremony. The Mass went on for about an hour and a half. It was the biggest day of my life so far and it was very interesting. After Mass my family and I went back home and had a meal and enjoyed the rest of the day.
