Halloween Art

Scary Masks

We had great fun making scary masks from materials such as cardboard, crepe paper, wool and Halloween shapes. Some were scary and some were funny.

Halloween Silhouettes

Halloween silhouettes are card cut shapes stuck onto black sugar paper. The card is orange to reveal the true colours of Halloween .We drew witches, ghosts, R.I.P gravestones, pumpkins and bats.

Spooky Skeletons

As part of our Science class we learned how to name the bones of the skeleton. Did you know that your knee cap is your patella? And your cranium is your skull? In our art class we constructed skeletons on black card, using art straws in all shapes and sizes.

Spatter Painting

For Halloween we did all sorts of art, but the most unique method was the spatter painting .First we drew Halloween stencils like witches and ghosts and bats. We then stuck them down to a plain A3 paper with blue tack and waited our turn for paint. We painted with old painting toothbrushes and spattered them against the A3 page. We waited two days for them to dry and we removed the stencils .The finished product looks similar to Halloween creatures flying against the fireworks lit sky.
